About the Blog

It’s easy enough to manage your space when you own it. How to Live in Small Spaces, while an excellent book, is all about people who own homes or apartments, have the freedom to knock down walls and buy new ovens, and who also happen to be architects. Same goes for most articles in Dwell and all the other hip mags out there–Ready Made tends to cater a bit more to the rental crowd, and ApartmentTherapy‘s pretty terrific, too, but I wanted to throw in my five cents and share what we’ve done–and also, of course, what we plan to do.

FYI, the photos shared in this blog are not staged. It’s what our apartment looks like on a day-to-day basis. If you’re looking for Dwell-like photography, or a fabulously designed apartment to feature on HGTV, you won’t find it here. What you’ll find is a rented, functional apartment that suits us and our needs.

City livin' ain't always easy. But I've got a RocketMan who's handy with a screwdriver, a RocketBaby who needs some room to move around, and 680 square feet of downtown apartment that needs some love.

Any questions, drop me a line at rocketgirl [at] rocketcitydigs [dot] com.
